【摘要】:Therateanduniformityofdiecavityfillingarerelatedtoflowproperties,whichthusinfluenceproductionratesanduniformityofcompactedparts.Theabilityofapowdertoflowisafunctionofinterparticlefriction.Asinterparticlefrictionincreases,flowisslowed.Finepowdersmaynotflow.Humidityandmoisturecontentinfluenceflowrate.Wetormoistpowdersmaynotflow.Thistestmethodmaybepartofthepurchaseagreementbetweenpowdermanufacturersandpowdermetallurgy(P/M)partproducers,oritcanbeaninternalqualitycontroltestbyeithertheproducerortheenduser.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftheflowrateofmetalpowdersandissuitableonlyforthosepowdersthatwillflowunaidedthroughthespecifiedapparatus.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard(exceptfortheflowmeterfunnel,whichisfabricatedininch-poundunits).Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
