【摘要】:Cast-in-placecylinderstrengthrelatestothestrengthofconcreteinthestructureduetothesimilarityofcuringconditionsbecausethecylinderiscuredwithintheslab.However,duetodifferencesinmoisturecondition,degreeofconsolidation,specimensize,andlength-diameterratio,thereisnotauniquerelationshipbetweenthestrengthofcast-in-placecylindersandcoresofthesameage.Whencorescanbedrilledundamagedandtestedinthesamemoistureconditionasthecast-in-placecylinders,thestrengthofthecylinderscanbeexpectedtobeonaverage10%higherthanthecoresatagesupto91daysforspecimensofthesamesizeandlength-diameterratio.Strengthofcast-in-placecylindersmaybeusedforvariouspurposes,suchasestimatingtheload-bearingcapacityofslabs,determiningthetimeofformandshoreremoval,anddeterminingtheeffectivenessofcuringandprotection.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofstrengthofcylindricalconcretespecimensthathavebeenmoldedinplaceusingspecialmoldsattachedtoformwork.Thistestmethodislimitedtouseinslabswherethedepthofconcreteisfrom125to300mm[5to12in.].1.2Units8212;ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnon-conformancewiththestandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoconsultandestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.(WarningFreshhydrauliccementitiousmixturesarecausticandmaycausechemicalburnstoskinandtissueuponprolongedexposure.)
