【摘要】:Coatingsintendedtobecuredbyultravioletradiation,especiallythoseinvolvingfreeradicalchemistry,tendtopolymerizeduringstorage.Itisofinteresttodeterminehowwellaformulationresiststhiseffect.Manyfactorsinfluencethestoragestabilityofacomposition.Theproceduresdescribedhereareintendedtoimprovetheprecisionofdeterminingthisproperty.Becausetheeffectsofresins,monomers,photoinitiators,synergists,stabilizers,orpigmentscanaltertherelationbetweenelevatedandroomtemperaturestabilities,anycorrelationofperformanceattwodifferenttemperaturesispossibleonlywithagivenformulationand,therefore,isusefulonlyforqualitycontrol.1.1Thismethodcoversproceduresfortestingthepackagestabilityofcoatingsintendedtobecuredbyultravioletradiation.Oneprocedureisgivenforclearcoatingsandanotherforopaquefillers.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
